California Wines and Cheeses

California is the biggest wine producing state in the U.S and  recipient of the highest accolades and awards.  New regions, wineries,  and grape varietals are being introduced every year. Harmons wine  educator Sheral Schowe will present five wines including red and white,  from five different growing areas in the Golden State.Cheesemonger  Carolène Belasco will pair each wine with a California artisanal cheese.  At the end of the evening, you will leave with a list of your favorite  wine and cheese pairings that you can repeat for your own party!

Chef Jackie Dodart and Wine Educator Sheral Schowe have planned a European culinary tour for you, which will delight all of the senses. Travel with us through five countries as the Chef prepares each course for you and our wine educator pours a wine to match from the same country.

Amuse from France: Asparagus Soup with Lemon Crème Fraiche
Appetizer from Portugal: Seared Duck Breast with Port Reduction
Intermezzo from Italy: Blood Orange Sorbet
Entrée from Spain: Seafood and Sausage Paella
Salad from Greece: Greek Salad
Dessert: The Queen’s Pudding.

Premium Wine Club Cabernet Collection

With its birthplace in Bordeaux France, Cabernet Sauvignon has made its way around the world as one of the most collectible and revered wine grape varieties. This Premium Wine Club class, presented by French Wine Scholar Sheral Schowe, features four exquisite Cabernets, two from California and two from Bordeaux France which have been cellar aged. What a treat it will be to taste wines intended for ageing in order to reflect their peak of aromas and flavors. The wines will be paired with Harmons freshly baked breads, salads, and cheeses.

France’s Favorite Regions

Out of the twelve major wine regions in France, there are five that feature more cheeses than all of the rest. French Wine Scholar Sheral Schowe will serve the wines of Loire Valley, Bourgogne, Rhone Valley, Languedoc and the Roussillon as Cheesemonger Carolène Belasco presents five artisanal cheeses from the same region. Each wine will be tasted with each cheese so the participants can taste all possible combinations and then vote on their favorite pairings!
